Aimee McKane is a Program Manager and Deputy Group Leader at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) Washington, DC office. Ms. McKane works with BestPractices, a voluntary industrial program coordinated by the United States Department of Energy’s (USDOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Industrial Technologies Program to encourage increased energy efficiency of industrial motor-driven, steam, and process heating systems. She is responsible for building industry partnerships, developing technical content, and program data collection and analysis. This includes leadership on behalf of DOE in developing the Compressed Air Challenge, an extensive industry partnership that seeks to improve compressed air system performance through training and education. She recently served as the Chief Technical Advisor for a motor systems program pilot in China administered by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in cooperation with USDOE and the Chinese government. Aimee has also managed LBNL work in support of the Federal Procurement Challenge through the Federal Energy Management Program. She previously worked as a Project Manager at the New York State Energy Office where she led an initiative to identify energy-efficiency thresholds for equipment for utility demand side management programs.
In 2003, Ms. McKane received the “
Champion of Energy Efficiency” award from the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy in recognition of her contributions to the field. Ms. McKane has a BA with a major in architecture from Washington University and an MA in Business and Policy from the State University of New York.
