Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has recently developed the California Energy Balances Database (CALEB), a comprehensive set of energy data covering energy production, import, export, and consumption for all fuels used in California. This database provides a valuable source of detailed energy data for analysis of trends in energy use and energy-related GHG emissions. The Energy Commission used CALEB as the principal source of energy data for the 2005 update of California’s GHG emissions inventory.
